Marfa Public Radio will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a gala Nov. 5 at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland.
The “Marfa to Midland Gala” will feature live performances by The Band of Heathens and singer-songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter, along with gourmet dining and a silent auction.
The station said the event will celebrate two decades of public radio service in West Texas while raising money to support its future operations.
“With federal funding gone, your attendance and sponsorship directly secure the next twenty years of independent public radio,” Marfa Public Radio said in announcing the event.
The gala is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Museum of the Southwest. Organizers are offering individual tickets, tables and sponsorship packages.
