Bread Garden Bakery Alpine is selling prickly pear jelly made with fruit picked and juiced in West Texas.
The bakery shared photos of the jars Monday, saying the ripe fruit, also called tunas, is a sign of summer’s end. The bakery did not say it made the jelly.
Bread Garden Bakery is at 801 E. Holland Ave. in Alpine. Its Facebook page lists sourdough bread, bagels and English muffins among its specialties.
