Yellow Brick Art Co. will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 26 with a daylong event featuring an open gallery, live music, local vendors, food and a raffle, with other Sanderson businesses joining the celebration with lodging and dining specials.
The new art business at 102 W. Oak St. will host its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Yellow Brick Art Co. said it is collaborating with local musicians, artists and businesses to turn the opening into a communitywide event.
Live music during the day will include Fidel Campbell, who will also serve as honorary master of ceremonies, along with Gil Shack, Alexa Fontaine, Rio Ramblers and The Vagenda.
Vendors scheduled to participate include Silver Wings Mobile Bar, Tall Texan Distilling, Marta Lou Glass, Brick Vault Brewery, Sour Mountain Bread Co., Madi Vastine Ceramics, No Big Bend Wall, Mind Over Batter, Armor by Hannah, Cow Dog, HK Pet Portraits and Leather Bound Books.
The celebration will continue beyond the gallery. Rick Ruiz is scheduled to perform at Ferguson Motors, 111 W. Oak St., from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by an after-party at The Ranch House, 309 W. Oak St., from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Several Sanderson restaurants are also participating. The Ranch House plans a special menu Sept. 26, Ferguson Motors will offer Texas cheesesteak and beer specials that day and bottomless mimosas the following morning, and The Sighting BBQ will offer a barbecue special.
Visitors traveling to Sanderson for the event can also take advantage of lodging promotions. Stay in Sanderson Airbnbs are offering 25% off stays, while Desert Air Motel is advertising a 15% discount with booking code YB15. Ferguson Motors Lodging is offering two nights for a $200 flat rate with direct booking.
Yellow Brick Art Co. also plans a special raffle, with 100% of the proceeds going to No Big Bend Wall, according to the business.
The grand opening comes as Yellow Brick Art Co. encourages visitors from across the region to make a weekend of the event and patronize Sanderson businesses while in town.
