Municipal officials are overseeing road improvements in the El Mulato mountain range aimed at improving access for families living in rural communities, according to El Sol de Ojinaga.
Zulema Aguilar, Ojinaga’s director of rural development, recently toured the area to inspect ongoing work on roads through the mountainous region.
The project includes grading and reshaping rural roads to improve their condition and make travel easier for residents, according to information released by the municipal government and reported by El Sol de Ojinaga.
Photos from the work show heavy equipment grading unpaved roads through the rugged desert terrain south of Ojinaga.
Municipal officials said the work is part of an effort to maintain transportation links between remote communities and improve access for families who rely on the roads.
