A new $500,000 bunkhouse is planned at the South Brewster County Emergency Response Center near Terlingua, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The 2,195-square-foot building will include five individual bunk rooms, along with a shared kitchen and living room.
The new construction is planned at 23250 FM 170. Work is scheduled to begin Nov. 15, 2026, with completion anticipated by Aug. 15, 2027.
