Community members will have a chance to meet local law enforcement in a relaxed setting during the Alpine Police Department’s “Ice Cream with a Cop” event on Friday, Aug. 7.
The event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. at McDonald’s, 900 E. Avenue E in Alpine.
According to the department, the afternoon is designed to bring officers and residents together over ice cream and conversation. Organizers encourage attendees to ask questions, get to know local officers and help strengthen connections between law enforcement and the community.
The family-friendly event is open to the public and aims to promote positive interactions while giving residents an opportunity to engage with officers outside of emergency situations.
The Alpine Police Department is partnering with McDonald’s to host the event.
