Jeff Davis County deputies arrest Fort Davis man on felony assault warrants

Jeff Davis County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fort Davis man early Saturday on two felony assault warrants, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies working as part of Operation Stonegarden arrested Richard Aguilar at a Fort Davis residence without incident, the agency said.

Aguilar was wanted on charges of assault of a family member by impeding breath or circulation and assault causing bodily injury.

He was transported to the Hudspeth County Jail and booked on the outstanding warrants.

The allegations have not been proven in court. Aguilar is presumed innocent unless convicted.
