Visitors to the Alpine Municipal Pool now have additional places to sit and relax after new tables and chairs were installed at the facility.
Alpine Parks and Recreation announced the additions Friday, saying they will provide swimmers, families and water aerobics participants with more comfortable seating throughout the pool season.
The furnishings were purchased with fundraising assistance from Kirsten Moody of Alpine Community Projects. Parks and Recreation thanked Moody and other community supporters for helping make the improvements possible.
The city’s recreation coordinator and lifeguard team assembled the tables and chairs Friday morning. Water aerobics participants and lap swimmers were among the first visitors to use the new seating.
Officials invited residents to see the additions during their next visit to the Alpine Municipal Pool.
