Families will have a chance to see large vehicles up close and meet local community helpers during a “Touch a Truck” celebration at the Alpine Public Library.
The end-of-summer event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 1, at the library.
Children and families will be able to climb inside participating vehicles, learn how they work and talk with the people who operate them. Organizers say the event will feature large vehicles used by community helpers and other local organizations.
The celebration is intended to offer an interactive, family-friendly conclusion to the summer season.
