Skate shop coming to Marfa storefront

A new skate shop is set to open in Marfa, bringing a new retail concept to a storefront at 207 S. Highland Ave.

Local entrepreneur Chelsea Grindstone will take over the space after Love, Marfa announced it is relocating its operations to the June TeeZe location. The move clears the way for the skate-focused business to open in the former Love, Marfa storefront.

In announcing the transition, Love, Marfa said it was excited to see the future of the building and expressed support for the new venture.

While details about inventory, services and an opening date have not yet been released, the shop is expected to cater to Marfa’s skateboarding community and visitors interested in skate culture.

The addition of a dedicated skate shop would mark a new offering for Marfa’s retail landscape, adding another locally owned business to the city’s mix of independent stores and creative entrepreneurs.
