The Jeff Davis County Ambulance service recognized cadet Noah Diltz this week for completing a two-week Junior First Responders Camp, highlighting the program’s efforts to introduce young people to emergency medical and rescue careers.
In a social media post, the ambulance service congratulated Diltz on finishing the training program and praised his dedication to learning emergency response skills.
“We take this time to recognize JDCA Cadet, Noah Diltz, for completing a 2 week Jr First Responders camp,” the organization wrote. “Congratulations Noah! You are going to make a mighty Mountain Medic!”
Photos shared by the agency show Diltz participating in a variety of hands-on training exercises, including ladder operations, rope rescue techniques and emergency response scenarios alongside firefighters and emergency personnel.
Junior responder programs are designed to expose young participants to the responsibilities and skills required in emergency services, including firefighting, emergency medical response and rescue operations. The camps often emphasize teamwork, safety procedures, leadership development and practical training exercises.
The recognition comes as rural emergency service agencies across Texas continue to encourage youth participation and explore ways to build the next generation of volunteer and professional first responders.
Jeff Davis County Ambulance officials said they look forward to seeing Diltz continue his development in emergency medical services and rescue work.
