Presidio announces Independence Day celebration with parade, music, fireworks and free pool admission

The City of Presidio has announced its 2026 Independence Day celebration, with two days of festivities planned for July 3-4, including softball, a community parade, live music, food vendors, free swimming and a fireworks show.

The celebration begins Friday, July 3, with a softball game at the Presidio High School baseball fields from 7 to 10 p.m.

Events continue Saturday, July 4, with free admission to the Presidio Aquatic Center from 2 to 9 p.m. Food vendors will begin serving at 6 p.m., followed by a parade lineup at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Live music featuring Acuario 90 and Javier Venegas is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show beginning at 10:30 p.m.

City officials are encouraging attendees to bring lawn chairs and gather with family and friends for the community celebration.

The event is open to the public and will be held at the Presidio Aquatic Center and surrounding celebration areas.
