City officials say renovations at the Alpine Municipal Pool are moving forward as crews work to complete upgrades ahead of the anticipated reopening for the 2026 summer season.
During Tuesday’s Alpine City Council meeting, Parks and Recreation Director David Martinez and city staff provided an update on construction efforts underway at the pool, which include installation of a new liner, pump and filtration system.
City officials said contractors overseeing the work have crews actively on site and are making steady progress on major improvements. According to updates shared during the meeting, the pool liner installation is expected to be completed soon, while additional interior and exterior work continues.
Martinez told council members that crews have already completed painting inside pool facilities and are awaiting final labor to finish flooring and other remaining tasks.
Landscaping around the pool area is also nearing completion, with city officials expressing optimism that several portions of the project could be wrapped up in the coming days.
The update comes as Alpine works toward reopening the municipal pool following significant infrastructure work designed to modernize equipment and improve long-term operations.
Officials have framed the investment as part of a broader effort to improve public recreational facilities while ensuring the pool system can operate more reliably during future seasons.
The city has not announced an official opening date, though council members indicated the project timeline remains on track.
