The Alpine Public Library will host its first annual Putt Putt Golf Weekend on June 6-7, inviting community members of all ages to enjoy a family-friendly indoor mini golf event while supporting the library.
The event will take place at the library and is open to beginners and experienced players alike.
Family play hours are scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a 21-and-over session from 6 to 8 p.m. that will include beer and wine. Additional family play hours are planned for Sunday, June 7, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person or $25 per family, and organizers said attendees who pay once may return for both days of the event.
The weekend is supported by several local sponsors, including BBT, West Texas National Bank, the Alpine Lions Club, Twin Peaks Liquors, Hotel Limpia, Holland Hotel, The Maverick Inn, the Museum of the Big Bend, VASTgraphics and Prescription Shop.
Organizers say the event is designed to provide a fun, community-centered activity while helping support the Alpine Public Library and its programs serving the Big Bend region.
