A new electric vehicle charging station has been installed in Terlingua, expanding infrastructure for travelers visiting the Big Bend region.
Basecamp Terlingua announced the installation in a recent social media post, stating the charger is located at Venga, a nearby property, and was installed by Flack Electrical Services. The addition allows electric vehicle drivers to charge while visiting the site, which offers food and beverages.
The company also said a 24-hour ATM is expected to come online soon at a small stone building on the property.
The improvements reflect growing demand for amenities supporting increased tourism and evolving transportation needs in the remote West Texas community, located minutes from Big Bend National Park.
