A Kentucky Derby-themed celebration is set for Saturday at The Rendezvous, offering locals a chance to watch the iconic horse race while enjoying classic drinks and festive attire.
The event, scheduled for May 2, will feature a live stream of the Kentucky Derby on big screens, with the race set to begin at 5:57 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to embrace Derby traditions, including wearing big hats and cheering on their favorite horses.
Mint juleps — the signature cocktail of the Derby — will be highlighted, along with other drink options. Organizers are promoting the gathering as a social event centered on good drinks, horse racing and community atmosphere.
The Rendezvous is located at 105 W. Second St. in Fort Davis.
