A stolen all-terrain vehicle was recovered at the Presidio Port of Entry during a coordinated law enforcement operation, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies were assisting U.S. Customs and Border Protection with a southbound operation when the Yamaha ATV was identified during an inspection of a vehicle transporting goods into Mexico. The effort was part of Operation Stonegarden, a federal program that supports border security initiatives.
The ATV was taken into custody by the sheriff’s office. Officials said they will work with the vehicle’s owner to facilitate its return.
No additional details about the theft or potential suspects were immediately released.
