Alpine ISD athletes qualify for UIL regional track and field meet

Seven Alpine High School track and field athletes have qualified for the UIL Regional Meet, scheduled for Thursday and Friday at Abilene Christian University.

Alpine ISD announced that the Bucks and Lady Bucks advancing to the regional competition are Emy Hernandez, Naida Morris, Nevaeh Carrasco, Iliana Dominguez, Kylie Maroney, Hallie Wood and Kelton Tarrant.

The athletes earned their spots following strong performances during the district and area meets, advancing to one of the final stages of UIL postseason competition.

The regional meet, set for May 1-2 in Abilene, will bring together top competitors from across the region, with qualifiers vying for a chance to advance to the state meet.

School officials praised the group’s dedication and effort throughout the season and encouraged the community to support the athletes as they compete at the next level.

Alpine ISD wished the Bucks and Lady Bucks safe travels and success as they represent the district on the regional stage.
