A state police patrol unit traveling to provide support in the Ojinaga area crashed along a highway near kilometer marker 4, according to a report shared by El Sol de Ojinaga.
The unit, identified as part of the state’s roadway division, reportedly struck a utility pole and nearly overturned near a C4 security facility while responding to assist operations tied to Ojinaga and Aldama. The crash disrupted traffic in the area.
Both officers in the vehicle were taken to a hospital following the incident. Their conditions were not immediately released. Authorities have not provided additional details on the cause of the crash.
