Cabalgata in Ojinaga to honor Carlos Jesús Tavárez on April 25

The Asociación de Cabalgantes en Acción para Ojinaga is inviting riders from across the region to participate in a cabalgata honoring Carlos Jesús Tavárez on Saturday, April 25.

The event, part of the Cabalgata Toribio Ortega tradition, will begin at 9 a.m. at Casa de Cherres Urías. Organizers are asking participants to arrive on time to ensure a unified departure.

The day’s activities will include a horseback ride, a visit to the cemetery, a Mass, dinner and a community dance. Organizers describe the event as both a tribute and a celebration, welcoming all cabalgantes who wish to take part.

“La mula está de fiesta,” the announcement reads, encouraging the community to join in the commemorative gathering.
