Alpine Elementary students advance to state history competition in Austin

A group of fourth-grade gifted and talented students from Alpine Elementary School is headed to Austin to compete in the State History Fair, according to Alpine ISD.

The Alpine Elementary students earned their place at the state level through their work, creativity and research, representing their school in the Texas History Day program.

District officials praised the students’ dedication and said they are proud of the group’s accomplishments as they prepare to compete against top projects from across Texas.

The district also recognized their teacher, Miss Locke, for guiding and supporting the students throughout the process.

The State History Fair, part of Texas History Day, brings together students from across the state to showcase research projects in a variety of formats, including exhibits, performances and presentations.
