Sul Ross State University seeks applicants for recruiter positions in Alpine

Sul Ross State University is hiring two university recruiters to support enrollment efforts on its Alpine campus, according to a recent job posting.

The positions, housed within the university’s Enrollment Management department, offer a salary of $36,750 and focus on meeting enrollment goals through outreach, recruitment events and prospective student engagement.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least two years of experience in enrollment services such as admissions, financial aid or recruitment. The role also requires strong communication and organizational skills, public speaking experience, and the ability to travel frequently for recruitment activities.

Recruiters will manage assigned territories, attend college fairs and events, and maintain consistent communication with prospective students through phone, email and in-person or virtual meetings. Responsibilities also include guiding applicants through the admissions process, assisting with basic financial aid information, and coordinating with admissions operations to ensure proper processing of application materials.

The position may require evening and weekend work, as well as travel throughout the region. Candidates must also maintain a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

Preferred qualifications include prior admissions experience, alumni status with the university, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
