Agave Festival Marfa returns June 4–7 with multi-day cultural programming

Agave Festival Marfa is set to return June 4–7, bringing a multi-day celebration of agave and its cultural significance across the region.

The annual festival explores the role of agave through a wide range of programming, including food, film, music, science and spirits. Organizers frame agave as an indicator species reflecting a culturally dynamic and multilingual region shaped by deep Indigenous history and traditions.

The event will feature free and accessible programming such as talks from historians, botanists, artists, anthropologists and archaeologists, alongside tastings hosted by agave spirit producers, curated dining experiences and live performances from contemporary and regional musicians.

Agave Festival Marfa has previously welcomed a diverse lineup of speakers and participants, including ethnobotanists, authors, activists and artists contributing to conversations around culture, environment and heritage.

The festival is expected to draw visitors from across the region and beyond for a weekend of educational programming and cultural events centered on the agave plant.
