Fort Davis ISD to stage community performance of “Kindertransport” on March 23

Fort Davis Independent School District will host a live community theater performance of “Kindertransport” on Monday, March 23, at the Fort Davis High School auditorium.

The production, written by Diane Samuels, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

“Kindertransport” is a historical drama that explores the experiences of Jewish children sent from Nazi-controlled Europe to safety in Britain ahead of World War II. The play examines themes of displacement, identity and family through the perspective of a child refugee and her life in adulthood.

The event is part of the district’s effort to engage the community through performing arts and provide students with opportunities to participate in live theater.

Community members are encouraged to attend and support the performance.
