Students in Marfa Independent School District will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths during the 2026 Career Fair and Expo scheduled for March 18.
The event, presented by the Marfa Education Foundation, will run from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and aims to introduce students to a wide range of professions while helping them connect with working professionals.
According to organizers, the fair will highlight several career sectors, including the medical field, law, education and the food industry. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about careers in digital media, law enforcement and homeland security, among others.
The program is designed to give students a closer look at possible career opportunities and the education or training required for those paths. Organizers say the event helps students gain valuable knowledge while encouraging them to begin thinking about their future careers.
The foundation described the event as one of its key programs to prepare local students for the future and to expand the opportunities available to young people in the Marfa school district.
