A man was arrested Wednesday following a felony traffic stop involving a vehicle reported stolen in Fort Davis, according to the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received information about a stolen vehicle in the Fort Davis area and located the vehicle being driven about an hour later, authorities said. Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and conducted a felony stop.
The driver, identified by the sheriff’s office as Richard Aguilar, was taken into custody without further incident.
Aguilar was transported to the Hudspeth County Jail and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
No additional details about the vehicle or circumstances surrounding the theft were immediately released.
