Texas author and journalist Joe Holley will visit Marathon later this month for an evening of stories, conversation and community gathering at Leather Bound Books & Goods.
The event, “An Evening With Joe Holley,” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m.
Holley, a Pulitzer Prize–winning writer known for his work covering Texas culture and history, will share stories and reflections during what organizers describe as an informal Texas talk. Light refreshments will be available.
The event is free and open to the public.
Community gatherings such as author talks and gallery receptions have become a regular feature of Marathon’s cultural scene, drawing both residents and visitors interested in literature, art and regional storytelling.
