Mardi Gras Comes to Alpine: Granada Theatre Hosting Bayou-Themed Dinner and Live Music Event Tonight

A taste of Louisiana is coming to Far West Texas tonight as the Granada Theatre in Alpine hosts a Mardi Gras Bayou Bash featuring a Cajun-inspired buffet, live music, and dancing.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m., will feature performances by Rome Antenucci and Roasted Rat, with organizers encouraging attendees to come hungry and ready to celebrate.

According to promotional materials shared by the venue, the buffet menu will include Mardi Gras favorites such as seafood gumbo, chicken and sausage jambalaya, blackened catfish with remoulade, jalapeño boudin, and king cake, along with additional offerings.

The Granada Theatre, a historic downtown Alpine venue known for concerts, community gatherings, and special events, has increasingly hosted themed dining experiences alongside live entertainment, drawing visitors from across the Big Bend region.

Organizers say seating for the Mardi Gras Bayou Bash is limited, and advance tickets are recommended. The evening is designed as a combination dinner and entertainment experience, with music continuing after the meal to allow guests to dance and socialize.

Community events like this play an important role in Alpine’s local economy, particularly during the winter and early spring tourism season, when regional residents and visitors alike seek indoor entertainment options.

Tickets and additional information are available through the Granada Theatre’s event website.

Residents across Brewster County and neighboring communities are expected to attend, continuing a tradition of regional gatherings that blend food, music, and culture in Far West Texas.
