Alpine ISD Recognizes School Resource Officer for Service to Middle School Students

Alpine Independent School District is recognizing one of its campus law enforcement partners for her work supporting students and staff at Alpine Middle School.

In a recent social media post, the district highlighted Deputy Anahi Garcia, who serves as the school resource officer (SRO) for Alpine Middle School, praising her dedication to student safety and her role in building positive relationships on campus.

District officials described Garcia as someone who “goes above and beyond every single day” to help ensure students and staff feel safe, supported, and welcomed at school. The post also emphasized her compassion and commitment to creating strong connections with the school community.

School resource officers are law enforcement professionals assigned to campuses to provide safety, mentorship, and collaboration with educators. In many districts, SROs also assist with emergency preparedness, student outreach, and conflict resolution.

Alpine ISD expressed gratitude for Garcia’s leadership and presence on campus, thanking her for the care she provides to students and for her service to the broader Alpine community.

The recognition comes as schools across Texas continue to emphasize campus safety and relationship-building between students and law enforcement through SRO programs.
