Flights resumed at El Paso International Airport on Tuesday after the Federal Aviation Administration reversed an earlier order that had grounded all air traffic for up to 10 days because of unspecified security concerns.
The FAA had announced late Monday that all commercial, cargo and private flights would be suspended beginning at 11:30 p.m. MST on Feb. 10 through Feb. 20. The agency cited security issues but did not release detailed public explanations.
Hours later, however, the FAA said the restrictions had been lifted. Airport operations gradually returned to normal throughout the day.
