The Fort Davis Indians boys varsity basketball team closed out its regular season with a pair of district games against Marfa and Dell City, finishing the year with valuable experience for a young and developing roster.
In the final matchup, Fort Davis dropped both contests, with scores of 76–23 and 72–37. The results brought the team’s district record to 1–6 and its overall record to 4–15 for the season.
Despite the losses, several players delivered strong individual performances. Jesus Ramos led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Asher Logan added 14 points and five rebounds. Easton Gambaldo contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. Justin Trussell recorded seven rebounds and four blocks, and Cail Hinojos posted six points and 10 rebounds. Alan Trevizo added five steals, and J.T. Chavez and Tyler Glidewell also contributed defensively.
Over 20 games, the Indians totaled 635 points, 552 rebounds, 174 steals, and 53 blocks. The team also finished with 82 assists, reflecting continued improvement in ball movement and teamwork.
Season statistics show Jesus Ramos as the leading scorer and rebounder, with 184 points and 124 rebounds. Asher Logan and Easton Gambaldo each scored 127 points, while Alan Trevizo led the team in steals with 41.
While the win-loss record did not reflect the effort put in throughout the year, coaches and supporters point to steady growth, improved fundamentals, and increased competitiveness as positives to build on.
With many players gaining meaningful varsity experience, the Fort Davis program looks to use this season as a foundation for continued development in the years ahead.
