Fort Stockton High School diver Javier Hignojos has qualified for the UIL 4A State Swim & Dive Meet, earning a spot at the state level following his performance this season.
Hignojos will represent the Blue Wave at the state championships scheduled for Feb. 12–13 in San Antonio, competing against top divers from across Texas. The qualification marks a significant achievement for Fort Stockton athletics and reflects the program’s continued presence at the state level.
Fort Stockton coaches credited Hignojos’ consistent work, focus, and dedication throughout the season as key factors in his advancement to the state meet. The UIL state competition brings together the highest-performing athletes from regional and district meets across the state.
The Blue Wave program will send Hignojos to San Antonio as its state diving qualifier, continuing Fort Stockton’s tradition of competing on one of Texas’ largest high school athletic stages.
