The Fort Davis Historical Society will host its 2026 Art Show and Sale in February, inviting the public to purchase original paintings, drawings and photographs by local artists while supporting historic preservation in Fort Davis.
The annual event highlights a wide range of styles and subjects inspired by the Davis Mountains, West Texas history and life in the Big Bend region. Proceeds from the show benefit the Fort Davis Historical Society and help support the operation of its museum and educational programming.
Artist take-in is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12–13, from 1–4 p.m., giving participating artists an opportunity to submit works for inclusion in the show.
The public reception and sale will take place Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2–5 p.m., and is open to everyone. Visitors will be able to view the artwork, meet artists and purchase pieces directly during the one-day event.
The show and sale will be held at the Overland Trail Museum, located at 511 N. Fort St. Organizers note that the artwork displayed in promotional materials is representative and that the actual works on view will vary.
The Art Show and Sale serves as both a cultural event and a fundraiser, helping maintain a small local museum while offering residents and visitors an opportunity to take home original art created by members of the community.
For additional information, artists and attendees are encouraged to contact the Fort Davis Historical Society.
