Texas Parks and Wildlife is asking Trans-Pecos landowners to expect low-altitude helicopter flights over the next few weeks as biologists conduct aerial mule deer surveys across the district.
TPWD says the flights, using an R66 helicopter, help monitor and manage mule deer populations in the region and will be completed as quickly and safely as possible.
Questions can be directed to a local wildlife biologist through TPWD’s directory: tpwd.texas.gov/landwater/habitat-management/find-a-wildlife-biologist/
