La Kiva to launch weekly “For the Sake of a Song” acoustic swap meet in Terlingua

La Kiva Restaurant & Bar in Terlingua is launching a new weekly music and storytelling night called “For the Sake of a Song,” beginning Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.

The event is described as “an acoustic swap meet of songs and stories” and is open to songwriters, singers, musicians, poets and other creatives looking to share original work in a relaxed setting.

“For the Sake of a Song” will be held every Monday night from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at La Kiva and will be hosted by Randy De La Fuente, according to the event announcement.

La Kiva is known as one of the Big Bend region’s most distinctive venues, drawing locals and travelers alike for live music nights, community events and its iconic underground atmosphere.
