U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Marfa Station reported seizing more than $2.6 million in narcotics over the past several days, according to a post shared by U.S. Border Patrol Big Bend Sector.
The agency said the seizures included 67 pounds of methamphetamine, 5 pounds of heroin and 40 pounds of marijuana, with the combined estimated value listed at more than $2.6 million.
In the post, Border Patrol credited “partnerships” as a key factor in the interdictions, highlighting coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
The announcement was shared through the Big Bend Sector’s official social media channels and quickly drew public attention online, generating hundreds of comments and shares.
