City of Alpine, Brewster County Schedule Town Halls on Future of EMS Services

The City of Alpine and Brewster County are jointly evaluating future options for ground ambulance and emergency medical services in the region and are inviting the public to participate in a series of town hall meetings later this month.

A joint city–county task force made up of Alpine officials, Brewster County officials, and community members has been meeting to assess how emergency medical services should move forward. The review is taking place because the contract with the current EMS provider is set to expire in May of next year, and the provider has indicated it does not plan to renew the agreement.

To promote transparency and gather public input, the task force will host three public town hall meetings. The meetings are intended to share information, answer questions, and hear feedback from residents about EMS services and potential paths forward.
