Terrell County Deputy Arrests Driver on Meth Charge During Operation Stonegarden Traffic Stop

A Terrell County Sheriff’s Office deputy working under Operation Stonegarden arrested a driver early this morning after a traffic stop for speeding led to the discovery of methamphetamine, according to Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland.

In a statement posted to social media, Cleveland said the deputy initiated the stop during the early morning hours and determined the driver was in possession of methamphetamine. The driver was taken into custody, and the vehicle was impounded.

Operation Stonegarden is a federally funded program administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that provides resources to local, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies for border security operations.

Cleveland said deputies with the Terrell County Sheriff’s Office remain committed to public safety.

No additional details about the driver, charges, or location of the stop were released as of publication.
