Davis Mountains State Park recently welcomed back two international visitors who traveled from the Netherlands to revisit one of Far West Texas’ most iconic natural destinations.
Linda and Peter, who first visited the park nearly nine years ago, returned this week and shared their appreciation for the park’s expansive landscapes, birdlife, and the distinctive “sky island” environment that sets the Davis Mountains apart from the surrounding desert. Their visit was highlighted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department staff, who conducted a brief interview during their stay.
