Davis Mountains State Park will conclude its mid-January programming with The Bewildering Barbary Sheep on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Meeting at the Interpretive Center, the program explores the history and impact of aoudad, or Barbary sheep, a species native to northern Africa that now inhabits West Texas mountainsides. Rangers will discuss how the animals arrived in the region and the ecological effects they have today.
