U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Big Bend Sector apprehended two individuals and seized more than 16 kilograms of methamphetamine during a line-watch operation near Marfa, according to the agency.
The seizure was announced in a social media post by U.S. Border Patrol Big Bend Sector, which said agents from the Marfa Station intercepted the drugs as part of ongoing enforcement efforts in the region. The post did not provide additional details about the suspects or the circumstances of the apprehension.
Border Patrol officials said the meth seizure is part of a broader pattern of enforcement activity across the sector. According to the agency, controlled substance seizures in the Big Bend Sector have totaled more than $10 million so far this fiscal year.

The Big Bend Sector spans a large and remote stretch of West Texas, including areas near Marfa, and is responsible for border security and interdiction efforts across the region.
Officials said agents in the sector remain focused on detecting and disrupting drug smuggling activity along the border.
