Pioneer Reunion 2026 Set for February at Sul Ross State University in Alpine

Tickets went on sale Dec. 1 for the 33rd Pioneer Reunion, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Sul Ross State University in Alpine.

The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Espino Conference Center, located on the second floor of the Morgan University Center on the SRSU campus.

Organizers have announced a lineup of speakers focusing on Big Bend history, families, conservation and regional legacy. Ben English will serve as emcee. Scheduled speakers include:

Mike Boren, speaking on tales from past Pioneer Reunions Ronny Dodson, presenting on the Dodson family and Brewster County history Rick Gupman, offering an update on Big Bend National Park Madeline Johnson, discussing Maria Sada, a Mexican businesswoman of the Big Bend Tom and Gary Osborn, presenting on the Civilian Conservation Corps legacy in the Big Bend

Tickets are priced at $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Ticket prices include lunch.

The Pioneer Reunion is open to the public, and organizers encourage anyone interested in learning more about the history and culture of the Big Bend region to attend.
