Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge to Host Christmas Day Buffet in Fort Davis

The Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge State Park will offer a Christmas Day buffet for visitors and local residents on December 25, providing a holiday dining option inside Davis Mountains State Park.

The buffet will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until food runs out, and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The meal includes smoked turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and rolls.

Pricing is set at $21 per adult and $14 for children.

Indian Lodge, operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, is located at 16453 Park Road 3 in Fort Davis. The lodge and restaurant are a popular destination for visitors to the Davis Mountains, particularly during the holiday season when travelers are drawn to the area’s cooler temperatures, scenic views, and nearby hiking trails.

Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions are encouraged to notify restaurant staff in advance. As with all buffet-style meals, availability is subject to demand.

The Christmas buffet adds to a limited number of holiday dining options in the Fort Davis area and provides an opportunity for park visitors and community members to celebrate the holiday without leaving the mountains.
