Tickets for the 33rd Pioneer Reunion in Alpine Go on Sale December 1

Tickets for the 33rd annual Pioneer Reunion, one of the Big Bend region’s longest-running heritage events, will go on sale December 1. The gathering is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Espino Conference Center on the second floor of the Morgan University Center at Sul Ross State University.

The Pioneer Reunion is known for bringing together residents, historians, and families from across the Big Bend to celebrate regional history, share stories, and highlight the people who shaped the communities of Far West Texas.

This year’s program features a lineup of speakers representing multiple facets of Big Bend history and culture. Ben English will serve as emcee. Scheduled presentations include:

Mike Boren – Tales from Pioneer Reunions Past Ronny Dodson – Dodson Family and Brewster County History Rick Gupman – Big Bend National Park Update Madeline Johnson – Maria Sada: Mexican Businesswoman of the Big Bend Tom and Gary Osborn – Building a CCC Legacy in the Big Bend

Tickets are $25 for non-members and $20 for members, with lunch included.

Organizers emphasize that the event is open to everyone, encouraging community members, newcomers, and visitors with an interest in Big Bend history to attend.

The Pioneer Reunion has become a signature regional event during the winter season, offering a chance for the community to reconnect, preserve stories, and highlight the diverse cultural heritage of the area.
