Artwalk Alpine to Host Guided “Arthike: Alpine from Above” on Hancock Hill

Photography enthusiasts and nature lovers are invited to join a special “Arthike: Alpine from Above” event on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 9 a.m. atop Hancock Hill at Sul Ross State University.

The event, presented by Artwalk Alpine in partnership with Sul Ross Guided Hikes, will be led by Matt Walter, retired curator for the Museum of the Big Bend. Participants will enjoy a moderately strenuous 1.8-mile hike, offering scenic views of Alpine from above while learning about the region’s history and landscape.

The guided hike is free, but registration is required. Space is limited, and early sign-up is encouraged.
