The Big Bend Sportsman Club, in partnership with the Sul Ross Range and Wildlife Club, will host its annual Turkey Shoot on Saturday, October 25, 2025, giving participants a chance to test their marksmanship — and take home a Thanksgiving turkey.
The event will be held at the Big Bend Sportsman Club, located on West Highway 90 across from the Border Patrol Station in Alpine.
Competitions will include shotgun, rimfire pistol, centerfire pistol, rimfire rifle, and centerfire rifle categories. Winners in each event will earn a turkey to take home for the holidays.

The annual shoot is a long-standing Big Bend tradition, bringing together local shooting enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition and community camaraderie.
