The Big Bend’s music scene will take flight once again with Redbird Roadtrip IV: Go West, Redbird, a weekend-long songwriter celebration coming to Terlingua October 11–12.
The event kicks off Saturday, October 11, at The Starlight Theater with a performance by Dallas Burrow & Friends from 6–9 p.m., followed by After Hours Songwriter Rounds at The Boathouse (390 Ivey Road) from 8 p.m. until midnight.
On Sunday, October 12, the music continues with a Songwriter Showcase at The Temple of the Bird (105 Barnes Road, Terlingua), benefiting the Cheatham Street Music Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting Texas songwriters and preserving the state’s musical legacy. Sign-ups begin at 11 a.m. with performances starting at high noon.
This year’s featured songwriter guests include John Cavender and Robert Kelly, who will also perform at venues across Alpine and Terlingua during the week, from the High Sierra to DB’s Rustic and The Ritchey.
For those who live for authentic Texas songwriting and the camaraderie of creative voices in the desert, Redbird Roadtrip IV promises an unforgettable weekend where the Big Bend sky meets the sound of the open road.
