Monahans Sandhills State Park hosted the Desert Sands Garden Club this week for its “Wings, Blooms, and Buzz” program, exploring the roles of native plants, pollinators and birds in sustaining the dunes ecosystem.
The park recognized the club’s stewardship since 2013, when members established a butterfly garden that continues to support pollinators and native blooms at the site.
