The 80th Annual Sul Ross College Rodeo is set to kick off September 25–27 at the S.A.L.E. Arena, with nightly performances beginning at 7 p.m.
Billed as a celebration of Sul Ross State University’s legacy as the “Home of College Rodeo,” the event will bring top cowboys and cowgirls from the NIRA Lone Star Region together for three nights of competition.
This year’s rodeo also pays tribute to Mack Altizer, founder of Bad Company Rodeo and a Sul Ross alumnus, with organizers promising one of the most exciting productions in recent memory.
Tickets are available at the gate: $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors, with free admission for Sul Ross students and faculty with ID.
“Mark your calendars, dust off your boots, and come celebrate 80 years of rodeo excellence with us at Sul Ross,” organizers posted.
