A Marfa ISD teacher was arrested August 21 on a felony charge of improper relationship with a student, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
Rebecca Ontiveros, 25, was taken into custody at Marfa ISD by the Texas Rangers. She was booked into Presidio County Jail and released the following day after posting a $75,000 surety bond.
Authorities said the arrest was made without incident. The case has been filed in district court.
